Yesterday I was unhooked from sixth and final chemo! The final drug Cytoxan that they give gives me a wicked headache, so it was the best feeling leaving Roswell yesterday knowing that is the last time I will be needing it. Today, I go in for my Neulasta shot and am hoping that the side effects aren’t too bad. It seems that I’m able to get up and around a little more this time. I’m not sure if it’s just the fact that this is my last one that’s making things a little bit easier. Aiden’s in Rochester until Friday. Only two more days and he won’t ever be in Rochester while I’m in recovery from tx. I’m also happy the weather got nice right when I’m done. I couldn’t imagine going through all this during the summer time. After today, I’ll be going to Roswell Friday just for regular blood work.
In addition, I wanted to thank everyone for the numerous baskets and donations we have received so far. My husband’s been hard at work planning for the benefit (4/27). If anyone is interested in donating any additional items for the benefit, feel free to email him at email@example.com. Thank you! Our friends and family (& even people we don’t even know) really have been amazing!
