I went to have my blood work done on Tuesday and my counts are very low. My white blood cell count is less than 1.0 so I’m not allowed to have any visitors at this time. I was really bummed about this on Tuesday as Chris’ birthday was Wednesday. I had planned to go to the store to get a couple of things and make him a recipe of his choice for an appetizer and dinner. My step mom was also planning on coming over which I had to cancel. I definitely shouldn’t be going to the grocery store either. Chris was very understanding and ended up getting take out and picked out his own cake at the store. He says he ended up having a really good birthday, but I plan to make up for it. At least I planned ahead and got him a card a couple weeks ago when I was able to get out. The last time I spoke to the Dr. he said that they definitely won’t increase my chemo and may actually decrease it the next two times as he doesn’t like how my counts don’t fully recover before the next chemo, which means that they end up lower than each previous chemo. He still seems pretty confident that there isn’t much of risk of keeping it the same or decreasing it in my case so that’s good. Please pray that Friday my counts are back up so that I may get out of this house. Don’t ever take for granted going to the grocery store or mall or anywhere where there are a lot of people.
Neutropenic again :(
